Morgan had become concerned, of late, about Alex. He had something on his mind, and it seemed like the closer they got—the more he pulled away. Frustrated, she tried to put it from her mind. But she couldn’t help it. She needed to figure out what bothered him. She needed him to talk to her—but she didn’t know how to get him to do that.
She knew what that probably meant—and she didn’t like it. Only one thing could cause him to drift from her—and if that were true—then she also knew what was distracting him.
Distractions like that usually meant secrets. Morgan didn’t like secrets. That meant there were skeletons hidden in the closet. Skeletons someone was fighting to keep hidden.
